AECL provided specialist Noise and Vibration services to the Balfour Beatty – Carillion Joint Venture, who undertook the refurbishment of the East London Line (London Overground).
The Project included the complete replacement of the track and signalling systems and the refurbishment of existing stations. The civil engineering works included the construction of two large new bridges, four new stations and a new depot at New Cross Gate.
AECL prepared Section 61 Applications for the Project and provided specialist noise and vibration monitoring equipment. The physical length of the Project meant that it spanned four separate Local Authorities.
