AECL Participates in Norway Trade mission

AECL recently participated in a Trade Mission to Norway organised by the UK Department for International Trade to promote our Noise and Vibration services.  We spent two days in Oslo and two days in Stavanger, engaging with senior people from the Oil and Gas Industry.  A particular highlight was a reception held at the British embassy in Oslo hosted by the Ambassador.

The Oil and Gas sector in Norway is on the up with a good number of new developments in the pipeline.  This is coupled with an increasing oil price and a desire to drive down production costs.  The overwhelming message was that Norwegian companies are keen to engage with partners who can provide a high quality, innovative service at a good price.

AECL’s Managing Director, David Nicholls, said “Norway is an obvious market for us.  We have been involved with the noise control design for some major recent developments on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, including Johan Sverdrup, Johan Castberg and Ivar Aasen.  Our desire is to work ever more closely with Norwegian Companies to provide our services in the region.  The trade mission has given us a comprehensive insight into the current position of the industry and we are very optimistic about the opportunities”.
