Welcome to AECL; an environmental consultancy with technical expertise in all aspects of noise testing, noise impact and control, vibration testing, and occupational noise exposure. We have worked with clients on a range of projects, from small developments in the UK to Government-level advisory roles and International large-scale projects. We are small enough to be dynamic, flexible and responsive, whilst also having the experience and expertise as an environmental consultancy to work at the highest level.

Environmental Consultancy Case Studies:

Dubai Environmental Noise Survey

• As Dubai continues to expand rapidly it is vital that these expansions are achieved in a sustainable manner.
• A noise survey was commissioned and completed by AECL who undertook the role of Project Managers, leading the technical direction and providing expertise for the project.
• Noise survey was completed to the satisfaction of the client in September 2005.

East London Line

• Refurbishment to the East London Line is currently being undertaken by the Balfour Beatty – Carillion Joint Venture.
• AECL is providing specialist noise and vibration services for the development
• We have also prepared Section 61 Applications for the project.

Docklands Light Railway

• In our role as environmental consultancy AECL have supplied noise and vibration services to Amec Group Ltd on the construction of 2 extensions to the Docklands Light Railway.
• The second project (still ongoing) is particularly challenging because tunnelling is carried out 24 hours a day.
• Section 61 applications were also a requirement for both developments so AECL prepared these.
